The Age of Rage & The Battle of Trust

We’ve really enjoyed working with Steve Lacey at the Outsiders on this, exploring the mass mainstreams feelings and attitudes towards life, communications, brands, celebrities, purpose, advertising, media, conspiracy theories, Government, Dominic Cummings and Black Lives Matter

Here are videos showcasing the feelings of a nation towards these very relevant matters:

After months of being at home and a large number of deaths, the temperature of the mass mainstream (C1C2) is one of rage, distrust and confusion. As we leave lockdown, a massive battle of ideas is about to break, but what direction will people take and what are the implications for brands, public policy makers, media and communications, and who do they trust? The Outsiders, in conjunction with Peek Content, have just conducted a large Qual study looking at the attitudes of the mass mainstream. We explore their views on life, government, opposition parties, conspiracy theories, 5G, China, the environment, BLM, media, removal of racist content from media catalogues, trust in brands and the role of communications/advertising during lockdown The research is hard-hitting, thought-provoking and uncomfortable, but will help public policy makers, brands and agencies navigate an ever-complicated and angrier world. The videos in this showcase bring to life the key themes emerging from the research and were all self-captured by participants across the UK.
